New Year Vipassana Weekend Retreat with Jay Date: Wednesday 31st of December 2025 and Thursday 1st of January 2026 | 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM Location: 2 Burgh Street, London, N1 8HF For: Beginners who are curious to discover Vipassana meditation, as well as more experienced practitioners looking to progress in their practice and become established in the full technique. This weekend goes beyond the one day retreat, offering greater benefits and insights. As we approach the end of the year, join us for a special Vipassana weekend designed to offer space for reflection, renewal, and inner peace. Whether you're a beginner eager to discover Vipassana meditation or a more experienced practitioner looking to deepen your practice, this retreat is perfect for you. You are invited to experience the profound benefits of silent, mindfulness-based meditation, including an introduction to Vipassana and other techniques. Discover how meditating in a group can enhance your concentration, memory, sleep, and compassion, while helping to break unhealthy mental patterns. Throughout the day, you'll also learn how to incorporate meditation into your daily life for lasting, sustainable change. This is a unique opportunity to pause, reflect on the past year, and set intentions for the year ahead in a supportive, nurturing environment. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions, share reflections, and connect with like-minded people. We look forward to welcoming you to this special end-of-year retreat — a gentle way to finish and begin anew. Please note: The retreat is non-residential—you arrive in the morning and leave in the afternoon each day. Sample timetable: 10:30 – 11:30 – Meditation 11:30 – 11:45 – Break 11:45 – 12:45 – Meditation 12:45 – 14:15 – Lunch 14:15 – 15:15 – Meditation 15:15 – 16:00 – Practice instructions & questions 16:00 – End Please wear comfortable clothing that won't distract others. We recommend bringing a vegetarian lunch to enjoy during the break. Jay Leaf, a certified teacher in Yoga, Meditation, and Pilates, spent over 20 years teaching and volunteering in meditation centres all over the world. He brought these transformative techniques back home, where he opened The Vipassana Centre and Pilates Yoga Home with his wife Emilie.
