Vipassana One Day Retreat with Jay Sunday 31st of August 2025 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: 2 Burgh Street, London, N1 8HF For: Beginners who are curious to discover Vipassana meditation, as well as more experienced practitioners looking to progress in their practice. You're invited to join a silent mindfulness-based meditation one day retreat including an introduction to Vipassana and other meditation techniques. Experience the profound impact of group practice and learn tools to enhance your concentration, memory, sleep, compassion, and break unhealthy mental patterns. All this while reducing stress, blood pressure, anxiety, and pain. More importantly, you’ll learn how to integrate meditation into your daily routine for lasting, healthy change. There will be opportunities to ask questions, reflect, and share experiences in a supportive environment. Please note: The retreat is non-residential—you arrive in the morning and leave in the afternoon each day. Sample timetable: 10:00 – Arrival 10:00 – 10:30 – Introduction 10:30 – 11:30 – Meditation 11:30 – 11:45 – Break 11:45 – 12:45 – Meditation 12:45 – 14:15 – Lunch 14:15 – 15:15 – Meditation 15:15 – 16:00 – Practice instructions & questions 16:00 – End Please wear comfortable clothing that won't distract others, and kindly avoid perfume or aftershave. We recommend bringing a vegetarian lunch to enjoy during the break. Jay, a certified teacher in Yoga, Meditation, and Pilates, has spent over 20 years teaching and volunteering across meditation centres all over the world. He brought these transformative techniques back home, where he founded The Vipassana Centre and The Yoga Studio London with his wife Emilie.
